Efforts Toward Realizing Carbon Neutrality

Amano has defined the contribution to addressing climate change and realizing a decarbonized society as one of our materialities and is making efforts to reduce our emissions of greenhouse gases. We had established a target of reducing CO₂ emissions by 46% by the fiscal year 2030, compared to the 2013 baseline, and have been working toward that reduction. However, given that addressing climate change is an urgent issue both in Japan and overseas, we have set a new target of realizing carbon neutrality by fiscal 2050.We will make efforts to achieve this new target over the medium to long term, including the reduction of CO2 emissions and the adoption of renewable energy.

CO₂ Emission Reduction Targets

CO₂ emission reduction targets: a 46% reduction in FY2030 compared with levels in FY2013.

Fiscal year 2050 target: Realization of carbon neutrality

* Note: These targets concern Scope 1 and 2 corporate emissions.

Approach to Carbon Neutrality

Measures to consider

  • Replacing equipment with energy-saving models
  • Adopting solar power generation
  • Purchasing non-fossil electricity
  • Offsetting energy use(shifting)
